What really matters …

At the front of Stuck in Traffic, readers will find the following quote from the New Testament:

Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable; if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think on these things.

… seems like a pretty good checklist to ensure we start, continue and finish well:

Whatever is …

True: we will be honest and upfront and never try to conceal or deceive

Noble: we will strive to be the very best versions of ourselves, truly reflecting the image of God

Right: we will base our decisions on moral imperatives and not on financial or other considerations

Whatever is …

Pure: we will tread lightly on the planet, doing everything we can to leave it safer than we found it

Lovely: we will behave towards others with kindness and compassion

Admirable: we will work and live in a way we would be happy for others to imitate

If anything is …

Excellent: we will produce work of which we can be proud and which, at the very least, meets and hopefully surpasses the expectations of our readers

Praiseworthy: we will live and work in a way that commends us to all with whom we come into contact
